Casa Del Sol is known for its excellent location, right at the head of the Yal-Ku lagoon, and for its eclectic and original decoration. Formerly owned by the band The Grateful Dead, this home is perfect for large groups or families, and in its time has played host to some big-name celebrities.

Casa del Sol has five bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate up to 13 people.

The outdoor kitchen and living room on the property’s lagoon side are great for entertaining and family gatherings. Access to the lagoon is a breeze, just down the garden path and across your own private bridge into the cool, clear water of Yal-Ku, where you can snorkel with the fish all day. There is also a fabulous rooftop patio, half covered by a palapa and half open to the sun and stars where you can sit surrounded by the lagoon and the jungle.
Casa del Sol is known for the many unique murals painted throughout the home that highlight the Mayan history and natural beauty of the area. This home is truly unique. Casa del Sol offers many amenities including a pool and a lagoon-side palapa with plenty of hammocks and lounge chairs for afternoon lounging.

It also has a waterfall with its own small pool on the lagoon side of the property. Provides a sand beach area built especially for private purposes next to the lagoon and palapa. There are outdoor showers and a bathroom to rinse off after diving and tanks to rinse off your gear.

Casa del Sol offers 5 rooms and with capacity for 13 people. There are 2 bedrooms on the second level. One room has 2 single beds and 1 double, the other has 1 double bed and 1 single bed. Each bedroom has a private bathroom and air conditioning. The Master is on the third level with a king bed, desk, private bathroom, air conditioning, and a private patio covered with palapa.

It has a casita on the ground floor with a king bed, private bath, stove and sink, and air conditioning.
