A new real estate development is being developed in Tulum, Koh Apartments, a practical option for vacation apartments or as a hotel investment model in the heart of the Riviera Maya.
Koh Apartments is a project designed by Diagrama, a Mexican architectural firm, together with Huella Desarrollos, of 29 apartments distributed in three main volumes and interconnected by patios, under the natural environment of the Riviera Maya vegetation.
Located in Aldea Zamá Premium, Koh Apartments is an intimate space that combines the natural and traditional elements of the region, with a contemporary touch that gives it a special touch for owners or visitors.
Laura Barba, director of Diagrama Firma Arquitectónica, points out that this development emulates the great ancient buildings of the Mayan culture, characterized by large interior and exterior spaces.
For its construction, local techniques and materials were used such as chukum, a material made from the eponymous tree and that is emblematic in Quintana Roo, which the Mayans used for the construction of their pyramids. Maya cream, a local stone, and jabín, the local tropical wood, were also used.
In the other two volumes there is a swimming pool, terrace and a bar where a mural made by the Mexican artist Jorge Méndez-Blake is located, and in the lobby there are pieces by the renowned Mexican designer Héctor Esrawe.
In addition to being a practical option as a vacation or rest apartment for its owners, Koh Apartments has a rental business model called “Condo Hotel”.
